North Hollywood Festival Held for a Great Cause!

Food trucks are a well-known staple of Southern California, especially Los Angeles. Residents of North Hollywood and those staying in aNoHo Dine-Out Friday Nights hotel near the Gibson Amphitheatre can visit a weekly food truck festival right in their backyard on Fridays from 5pm to 8pm. The festival features jewelry vendors, street musicians, special events, and of course, food trucks. The event, NoHo Dine Out Fridays, is sponsored by the NoHo Arts District.

Each week, entry to the festival is completely free, and there is ample parking in the lot at no cost to attendees. The event is dog friendly, and a portion of the profits of every NoHo Dine Out Fridays goes to a local dog rescue group. Vendors Rok by Rocha and 7 Thirty Jewelry sell unique jewelry and accessories every week at NoHo Dine Out Fridays. The festival also often sponsors dog adoption events in an effort to bring the community together in a fun event for social good.

In the past, flag dancing, hula hooping and the teen duo 2-U-Neek have been featured at NoHo Dine Out Fridays. Soon, the event will be offering delivery service of gourmet food from the trucks at the festival to homes in North Hollywood, Toluca Lake, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Valley Village, Burbank and Valley Glen.

Cynthia Turkington, one of the original producers of the festival explained that it was created out of a love for North Hollywood and dogs. ““We love NoHo. It’s a really great mix of people and it’s really starting to move we feel, and it’s a great place. We thought, let’s have events here and have the community come out. And we love dogs and animals and we wanted to benefit dog rescue."

On March 16th, the “After School Special Food Truck” is launching at the NoHo Dine Out Fridays festival. The night will feature the following food trucks: B & R Burgers on Wheels, Alos Crepres, Temaki Truck, Attack of the Killer Carnitas, Casablanca Moroccan and Ta Bom Brazilian. Proceeds will be donated to Make a Wish Foundation benefitting children in need. “TWE Miraculous Music Productions” will perform during the evening. If you’re in the area, come out for a fun night for a great cause!
