Have a Great Night at Street Food Cinema!

Summer means great weather in Los Angeles, and what better time to catch up on some favorite movies? Street Food Cinema will help you out by screening movies outdoors with food trucks and live music every Saturday from May 26 to September 1st. This series is based in Exposition Park throughout the summer with a finale at Block Field in San Pedro.

Each night, the doors will open at 5:30pm. Attendees are encouraged to buy food at various food trucks while waiting for the band to start at 6:30pm. The movie will screen at 9:30pm. The schedule over the next 15 weeks includes action, comedy, and cult favorites such as Twilight, X-Men, Bridesmaids, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and many more. A ROCKin Ice will be serving delicious snow cones every Saturday as the official frozen dessert of Street Food Cinema.

Street Food Cinema will kick off with a Memorial Day Weekend screening of “Napoleon Dynamite” and musical guest Erik Rico. Kogi BBQ, A ROCKin Ice and many other food trucks will provide excellent dinner options for the night. On June 2, Street Food Cinema will screen “MI4 Ghost Protocol,” and conclude with “Talladega Nights” on September 1.

Tickets are $10 to each screening.  Kids 6-12 are $5, and children 5 and under are free. Buy tickets in advance for guaranteed entrance. Online ticket sales end at 2pm on the day of the event. Tickets will be on sale at the door if the event isn’t sold out. Parking is $10, and dogs are welcome!

If you’re staying in hotels by Universal Studios, this is a great side event for those who love movies. Hope to see you at a screening!
