Get into the Holiday Spirit at the Hollywood Christmas Parade
In the 82nd anniversary year of the annual Hollywood Christmas Parade, the 2013 event is proudly hosted by the city of Los Angeles this year on Sunday December the 1st. Starting at 5pm, a program of entertainment has been created to try and make this year the best yet. The Parade makes its path through the very heart of Hollywood, starting on Hollywood Boulevard itself at Orange and making its looped route traveling east through to Vine, south then to Sunset Boulevard and back west back to Orange. This looped route enables as many people as possible to see the parade, with its lights, sights and sounds. If you’re staying around the Hollywood area this holiday season, then check this parade out with the entire family.
For the first time ever, this year’s parade will be shown on television. The Hallmark Channel will be showing the parade, with a repeat then shown on the Hallmark Movie Channel. Later, other broadcasters will be making their own showings of the Hollywood Christmas Parade throughout the winter season by syndication across the country. For showing times and details, check local programming. The American Forces Network will also be showing the Parade to service men and women at the US bases around the world, to share some of the holiday spirit with those who are further afield.
This year’s Hollywood Christmas Parade features some of the best entertainment performances in recent history. Headlined by Stevie Wonder and Billy Ray Cyrus, two of the biggest names in the music industry, with other performances from the stars, it will be an amazing night. LeAnn Rimes, the Goo Goo Dolls, McClain, William Shatner, Kenny Loggins, Daughtry and Richie Sambora are the star guests of the parade providing a night of music and entertainment in honor of the festive season. In addition, the Australian Institute for Performing Arts Presents Glee Club Australia are also live in concert during the parade, offering another style of music which the crowds are sure to love.
