Enjoy Farewell Concerts at the Gibson
Don’t miss out on seeing a concert at one of the most historic and well-known venues in Los Angeles, the Gibson Amphitheatre. With the recent announcement of its closing this September, this may be your last chance to enjoy seeing a concert at this popular landmark. In April, a promoter from Live Nation announced that Gibson Amphitheatre will be closing its doors to make room for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. There has been a long list of legendary artists who have performed at this venue including Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan and Bob Marley just to name a few. Many concert goers will undoubtedly miss this concert especially because of its proximity to Universal Studios and its intimate yet spacious setting. So what makes this venue distinct and special from other LA venues? For one, it is considered to be third largest mid-sized music venues in California. It is also best known for its sound settings, particularly its acoustics and its sightlines. The Gibson has been hosting concerts by popular touring artists since 1972 and has also held award shows like the MTV Movie Awards and the Teen Choice Awards. Music fans that have gone to watch a concert at the Gibson will miss the great vibes, energetic atmosphere and great staff. If you have not yet seen a concert at the Gibson, this summer is your time to do so. Below are a few concerts that will be held before the amphitheatre closure as part of the farewell summer series.
