Angel City Jazz Festival – October 2 thru 9

The Angel City Jazz Festival begins on Saturday, October 2, and will be held at various famous concert and performance venues throughout the Greater Los Angeles area. This week-long celebration will be held at six different locations and will combine music, film, art, dance, poetry and food. The centerpiece of the festival is a daylong outdoor event with five of the world's most creative jazz ensembles: Ravi Coltrane / Ralph Alessi Quintet, Wadada Leo Smith's Golden Quartet with Vijay Iyer, Sons of Champignon, Vinny Golia Sextet and Kneebody. Featuring some of the most innovative artists in the world, a wide array of genres will be performed by established musicians as well as emerging talent.
